Teams or Solo Maid -Which is the Better Option For Me?
Most professional cleaning services send out teams of 2, 3, 4 or even 5 maids for routine, recurring cleans. However, some services (like us) send out only one maid.
Which option is best? Here are a few thoughts to help you make the decision that’s right for you.
Some Pros & Cons of Teams:
The biggest advantage to hiring a service who utilizes teams is that they will be in and out of your home faster than one maid would. This is nice if you work from home and would like as few distractions as possible. The biggest drawback is that teams tend to be less efficient than a solo maid. For example, we have shown that if it takes an individual maid 3 hours to clean a home, one would imagine it would take 2 maids 1.5 hours to complete the same home. But more often than not, it takes them 2 hours.
What does this mean to you, as the client? Because the rate to clean a home is determined by how much time it takes, and if it takes 4 hours (2 maids, 2 hours) to clean instead of 3, the price will be higher.
Some benefits to having only one Cleanician:
-There is less chance of areas possibly being missed.
An individual maid knows exactly what she has cleaned so far and what else needs to be done.
-You get to know the same maid.
Your home is your sanctuary. It’s much more comfortable to have the same person come into your home on a regular basis then many different people.
Your maid gets to know you and your preferences.
-Do you like your pillows fluffed in a certain way? Your bed made just so? The maid who cleans your home every two weeks knows exactly how you like it to be done.
Your pets gets used to the same person coming in.
Some pets get very stressed when new people come into their home; it’s comforting for them to get used to the same person.
We think the model of one maid for each cleaning is the best one for our clients; we hope you do as well!
